Hungry for LOVE: Evntful x The Supper Club Event
By Sanchia Saunders
Hungry? Well look no further as Evntful definitely ATE with their latest event in collaboration with, The Supper Club which took place last week.
On the 30th of May a number of strangers gathered at the dimly lit restaurant of Boha London, broke bread, drunk and indulged in a harmonious combination of good food and most certainly good company.
Despite a few hiccups, and no that’s not from eating the food too quickly, due to last minute changes, tricky logistics and not everything going picture perfect - the event beautifully represented the true meaning of what Evntful continues to strive for. Just like any relationship we are not perfect, and we don’t always expect perfect results, instead we continue to strive for connection and not perfection - which is something we should all take a mental note of - and implement when the noise of life is getting all too much.
However back to the event at hand.
What is The Supper Club?
In short, The Supper Club is one of London’s most unique immersive dining experiences. Now running for almost 8 years.
Head chef Beau is the star of the show as she brings the culture, the knowledge and most certainly the flavours to the whole experience.
With Beau specialising in
Latin American cuisine
she perfectly explains the origin of each dish and what they mean to the country that they ordinate from.
Nick
We can’t forget about Nick who is very much the glue of this whole immersive experience.
With him taking over the project in 2018, he has been able to use his experience with the
Elmore Jam, a supper club that he ran from his Islington home to ensure the success of the business.
So much so that they get reviews just like this:
“Totally delicious food, wonderful atmosphere. A fantastic service. Areally unique dining experience.”
“Had a fabulous evening friends are already enquiring about booking”
“TFL: Tastes fxcking lovely”
Why do you need to be at the next Evntful event ?
So with The Supper Club x Evntful event very much eating down - you may be wondering how you can get involved and maybe even why you should.
Don’t worry if you don’t have the answers to the above questions, as this is where I come in.
Given Evntful's continued goals of helping singles like you and me forge meaningful connections offline, and very much in the real world - what better place to achieve this than to do it at an event with other like minded people.
So far some of the brands Evntful have collaborated with stem from
Meraki Studios to
Alcotraz - so if you haven’t attended what are you waiting for ?
With recent reports from The Independent stating that, out of 2,000 adults, 70 per cent were nervous about how to greet their potential love interest on their first meeting.
With a further 34 per cent deliberating whether to go for a hug,
kiss
on the cheek, or even a formal handshake - it reaffirms the importance of pushing the narrative of
activity/ event based dating.
As if we home in even further onto Gen Z men,
45% of them have never approached a woman in person - which reinforces the importance of event based dating, speed dating you name it.
So will we see you at the
next event? Head to our instagram and let us know!
